New Release
We’re thrilled to announce the release of At Last She Said It: Honest Conversations about Faith, Church, and Everything in Between by Susan Hinckley and Cynthia Winward—available now in paperback, ebook, and audiobook formats! This compelling new anthology invites readers into candid, courageous discussions about the complex relationships many women have within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Building on the conversations from their popular podcast of the same name, Hinckley and Winward offer insight, solidarity, and hope to anyone longing for honest dialogue in what can sometimes be challenging terrain. Pick up a copy at your local bookstore or order it online today!
The authors will speak in person at Signature Books on May 8. See details below.
Katie Ludlow Rich wrote a thorough review, “The Conversations I Wish I Could Have in Relief Society” on the Exponent II blog, and Richard Ostler interviewed them on his Listen, Learn & Love podcast.
Award-Winning Signature Books Titles
We’re proud to share that five Signature titles are finalists for this year’s Association for Mormon Letters (AML) Awards! The Book of Queer Mormon Joy and Fifty Years of Exponent II are nominated for the Creative Nonfiction Award. In the poetry category, This Insatiable August and Count Me In are both finalists. And Journeys from a Desert Road is up for Best Novel.
We’re deeply grateful to the AML for this recognition and, most of all, to our talented authors and editors whose extraordinary work made these books possible.
In Memoriam
The Mormon history world recently lost a dear friend and colleague, Dr. Jan Shipps. She was a longtime historian of Mormonism, a professor of history and religious studies at Indiana University-Purdue University for more than four decades, and the first non-Mormon and the first woman elected as president of the Mormon History Association. She also contributed to two Signature anthologies, The New Mormon History: Revisionist Essays from the Past and The Prophet Puzzle: Interpretive Essays on Joseph Smith. We are saddened by her passing and grateful for her immeasurable contributions.
