| Deseret Book Club Former professor of chemistry and university president John A. Widtsoe was called to the Quorum of Twelve Apostles in 1921. His influential book, Rational Theology, began as a Melchizedek priesthood manual and was later released as a book. It enjoyed several printings domestically as well as several foreign translations. Rational Theology is a fascinating effort by a faithful Saint to reconcile the scientific thinking of his day with the eternal truths of the gospel. |
