| Deseret News, Dennis Lythgoe Subtitled "Stories of Utah's Minorities," this is a series of articles reprinted from The Utah Historical Quarterly with emphasis on Utah's ethnic groups. Contributing authors such as Everett Cooley, Helen Papanikolas, Richard Ulibarri, Phillip Notarianni, William Wilson, and Clair Noall are especially well known in Utah literary circles, and they do exceptional work here. Articles in the Utah Historical Quarterly have maintained a uniform excellence over the years, yet most Utahns have not been exposed to the publication. Placing these articles into a book under one heading is a substantial contribution to the reading public. The casual reader will find that the articles in this collection are timely and interesting. This is the second welcome anthology in a planned series of books based on Utah's unique history. |
